Though Jose Reyes is reportedly set to receive a hefty suspension from Major League Baseball, possible as early as Friday, for allegedly assaulting his wife this offseason, certain teams are still interested in trading for the Colorado Rockies' veteran shortstop, according to ESPN's Buster Olney.

It remains unclear, however, which teams are interested in Reyes, who's been on paid administrative leave since February and, as MLB Network's Jon Morosi reported Sunday, faces an unpaid suspension of at least 60 games. The 34 games Reyes has already missed this year will count towards his looming suspension, but he'll have to pay back the portions of his $22-million salary he collected while on leave, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

Reyes, acquired by the Rockies at last year's trade deadline, pleaded not guilty to abuse of a family member after allegedly grabbing his wife by the throat and shoving her into a glass door in their Hawaii hotel room Oct. 31. Charges were dropped earlier this month when his wife refused to cooperate with prosecutors.

Set to earn another $22 million next year (with a $4-million buyout on a $22-million option for 2017), the four-time All-Star struggled last year between the Rockies and Toronto Blue Jays, hitting .274/.310/.378 (84 OPS+) with seven home runs and 24 stolen bases in 116 games.
