Angels' Nick Tropeano: Loses to Brewers
Tropeano (1-1) allowed five runs on five hits and five walks over five innings with six strikeouts in Tuesday's loss to the Brewers.
Analysis:
Tropeano was undone by three home runs, including back-to-back shots by Jonathan Lucroy and Chris Carter in Tropeano's fifth and final inning. Tropeano threw 17 first-pitch strikes to 25 hitters, but his nibbling didn't work, as he either lost hitters to walks or left mistake pitches over the plate. Tropeano had yet to allow more than two earned runs in a start, but he has yet to go six innings a single time this season.
