Analysis:

Freeman has a 12.91 ERA in just seven appearances this season, so the demotion doesn't come as too much of a surprise. After being traded to the Brewers on April 5, the left-hander was used sparingly and failed to make a great impression with his performance. Freeman will have a chance to make the necessary fixes in the minors as Junior Guerra takes his spot on the roster.
