Analysis:

Span will be awarded his third day off of the season, with Gregor Blanco stepping in to center field and Angel Pagan taking over the leadoff role. Although Span does see most of the starts against southpaws, he owns just a .233 OBP on the year against them, making Pagan a more logical choice for the leadoff spot Sunday.
