Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos diagnosed with dislocated shoulder

Sergio Ramos could be set for an extended stint on the sidelines after dislocating his shoulder during Real Madrid's victory over Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.

Real Madrid confirmed that tests revealed that Ramos suffered a dislocated acromioclavicular joint in his left shoulder. A timetable was not disclosed, as the team said it would continue to monitor his progress.

Ramos suffered the ailment during Madrid's 4-0 win over its Ukranian opponents and was forced to leave the fixture in the second half following a theatrical attempt to win a penalty in Shakhtar's box.

Ramos, however, was stayed positive afterwards when he provided an update for his fans on social media.

Ramos' injury was coupled with a pair of other injuries to hit Madrid during the encounter, as the Spanish outfit was forced to finish the match without Raphael Varane and Gareth Bale through injurues
