Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo may have a bit of a selfish goal-scoring reputation on the field, but off of it, the Portuguese icon is being heralded for his giving heart, topping the list of "Most Charitable Athlete" by Athletes Gone Good.

Ronaldo was ranked ahead of WWE champ John Cena and tennis star Serena Williams. The only other soccer player on the list was Barcelona's Brazilian forward Neymar, who came in fifth.

The 30-year-old made headlines last year when he was asked to donate items for a charity auction trying to raise $83,000 for a 10-month-old baby's life-saving brain surgery. Ronaldo didn't just donate a signed jersey and boots, but also paid for the whole operation and follow-up treatments.

He also gave $160,000 to a cancer center in Portugal that treated his mother and helped save the Greek economy from financial collapse by buying an island for his agent as a wedding gift.

Okay, so that last one might not be an act of charity, but when it comes to giving and doing good in the world of sports, it looks like there's no one better than Cristiano Ronaldo.
