In quotes: Reaction to Barcelona's 23rd La Liga title
A night of partying is set to consume the streets of Catalonia's capital as Barcelona defeated Atletico Madrid 1-0 at the Vicente Calderon on Sunday to claim their 23rd La Liga title.
Silverware is nothing new for most footballers on Barcelona's squad, but that didn't take anything away from the festivities.
Immediately after the final whistle, players flocked to the middle of the pitch for a huddle in which they celebrated the first phase of their mission to secure the Treble. It was then off the touchline for the obligatory championship-winning photograph and the good times then continued in the Catalan club's dressing room.
