Juventus players, Allegri react after reaching Champions League final
For the first time in 12 years, Juventus is in the Champions League final.
The Bianconeri earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw against defending champions Real Madrid on Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabeu, advancing to the tournament's showpiece event on June 6, where they will meet the juggernaut that is Barcelona.
Naturally, there was plenty to talk about after the final whistle.
A number of the club's players, along with manager Massimiliano Allegri, obliged.
Here's what members of the Italian club had to say after the thrilling encounter in the Spanish capital:
Massimiliano Allegri

On planning for Wednesday's match ...
"I knew the game would go like this tonight," Allegri told Sport Mediaset, as quoted by ESPN FC. "I told the lads they needed courage and to play well technically.
"I think it is also important for Italian football that one of our teams is back in the Champions League final.
"(Real Madrid's) Isco and (James) Rodriguez aren't particularly strong defensively, so I told my players the more we push them towards their own goal, the better."
.@OfficialAllegri: "It was one of those nights where you need to combine courage with a first-rate performance." #UCL

.@OfficialAllegri: "I'm starting to realise just what a tremendous season we're having - perhaps beyond what anyone ever expected." #UCL

On the prospect of facing Barcelona ...
"Barcelona are an almost impossible side to play against, but it's one thing to face them over two legs and another in a one-off match. Anything can happen there," he said.
"We are in good physical shape, they have a stratospheric front three and we go to Berlin convinced we can bring home the trophy."
Giorgio Chiellini

On the club's chances in the final ...
.@chiellini: "We're convinced we can go and win the #UCLfinal because we're a strong side who can beat anyone." #UCL #FinoAllaFinale

Claudio Marchisio

If the excitement of the players wasn't evident from any of the reaction above, this should help showcase just how much the accomplishment means to them:
