Mario Mandzukic returned to training Sunday after receiving the medical all-clear from a right ankle problem that sidelined him for Atletico Madrid's past two matches.
Mandzukic, who spent the last week undergoing physiotherapy, is now available for the first leg of Atleti's Champions League quarterfinal tie versus Real Madrid on Tuesday, a match that marks the seventh derbi madrileño of the season.
When the two sides last met in a La Liga fixture in March, Mandzukic scored the fourth and final goal as Atleti cruised to a 4-0 win.
