Arsenal earned the third win of their last four Premier League matches with a 2-1 victory over West Ham on Sunday, and there was more good news for the Gunners following the contest at Boleyn Ground.

Manager Arsene Wenger said during his post-match press conference that the club is expecting to have arguably its best player back on the pitch early next month.

Ozil has been out of action since October due to a partially torn LCL in his left knee.

The Gunners are back in action on New Year's Day against Southampton. That match may come too quickly for the German's return, but he could be eased back into the lineup when Arsenal meets Hull City in the FA Cup on Jan. 4.
