The woodwork continues to be Barcelona's worst enemy.
After smashing four shots off the post and crossbar during their 1-0 home loss to Celta Vigo last weekend, the Calatan club were once again denied by the woodwork in the first half of their fixture versus Almeria on Saturday.
Ivan Rakitic nearly headed Barcelona into the lead with a powerful header in the 28th minute, but 'keeper Ruben Martinez came up with a surreal diving save on the shot.
Then, with the net wide open, Lionel Messi stepped up and smashed a subsequent header off the crossbar.
If that wasn't unbelievable enough, Almeria opened up the scoring nine minutes later to carry a 1-0 lead into the interval.
