In scenes that we should probably get used to seeing this season, Real Madrid thrashed Elche 5-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday, courtesy of a four-goal performance from none other than Cristiano Ronaldo, who also scored a hat-trick three days ago.
The result is no surprise when you consider that Real Madrid scored as many goals in their 8-2 win against Deportivo de La Coruna over the weekend as Elche had scored in their last 10 La Liga fixtures. But even by Ronaldo standards, a four-goal performance from the Portuguese superstar is worthy of some acclaim.
So without further ado, here are Ronaldo's four goals versus Elche:
Goal No. 1: 28th-minute penalty kick
Goal No. 2: 32nd-minute header
Goal No. 3: 80th-minute penalty
Goal No. 4: 90th-minute shot
