Javier Mascherano is expected to miss Barcelona's match Sunday against Atletico Madrid as he works his way back from a hamstring knock, according to Samuel Marsden of ESPNFC.
The Argentina international suffered the injury after entering Barca's Copa del Rey semi-final match in the second half against Atletico.
Despite returning to training earlier this week, Sunday's tie will be the sixth match Mascherano's been forced to miss if he isn't named to manager Luis Enrique's team.
Meanwhile, Turkey international Arda Turan has overcome a groin problem and is expected to be available for selection for the crucial Liga encounter.
The 30-year-old, however, will likely start the match on the bench when Barca takes on his former club.
