Report: Dortmund's Ramos set for Granada loan before China move
Adrian Ramos could be the next player to enjoy the dough in East Asia.
Borussia Dortmund's sparingly used attacker is subject to an "agreement in principle" for a move to Chinese Super League club Chongqing Lifan for approximately €12 million, according to ESPN FC's Stephan Uersfeld.
It's understood the Colombian will join 19th-placed La Liga outfit Granada on loan before linking up with his new employer this summer.
"We have reached an agreement in principle," Dortmund media director Sascha Fligge confirmed Tuesday, via ESPN FC, of the Chongqing Lifan aspect of the deal, while not disclosing any financial details.
Manager Thomas Tuchel has admitted a reluctance in letting the 30-year-old Ramos go - particularly in light of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang representing Gabon at the Africa Cup of Nations - but understands the backup forward's wishes to seek pastures new.
"With a heavy heart, we've accepted his wish, but his decision for more playing time is understandable," Tuchel said. "Auba will come back soon, and he's our starter. We'll have other options until then."
Dortmund travels to Werder Bremen in Saturday's slate of Bundesliga tilts.
