Valbuena: 'No problem' playing with Benzema again for France
Mathieu Valbuena says he is willing to play alongside Karim Benzema again for France despite the two being embroiled in a sex tape scandal throughout the year.
Valbuena was allegedly the victim of blackmail over a sex tape, and police investigators allege Benzema was involved in some capacity; both players lost their spots in Didier Deschamp's France squad for Euro 2016 as a result of the ongoing controversy.
But the Lyon midfielder isn't harboring much of a grudge, it seems, and is willing to work with Benzema despite their off-field troubles.
"Of course I would be ready to do that," Valbuena said, according to ESPN FC. "Why not? There's no problem.
"I always make a distinction between what happens on and off the pitch. And I've always got on well with him on the pitch, you've seen that."
