Pastore: 'I do not want to leave Paris'

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore stated that he does not want a move away from the champions of France, despite recent reports linking the player with a move away from the capital.

The Argentina playmaker has drawn criticism from fans this season due to the fact that he is seemingly always injured, having missed 17 games already this season through calf problems and now a knee issue that has seen him sidelined since Nov 20.

Reports of a potential transfer combined with criticism from the Paris faithful may have prompted the 27-year old to speak out about his current predicament.

Je ne veux pas partir de Paris, je dois encore beaucoup donner pour le Paris Saint-Germain .

"I do not want to leave Paris," Pastore wrote on Instagram on Monday. "I still have lots more to give to Paris Saint-Germain."

Pastore joined the french giant from Palermo back in the summer of 2011 and he has featured in over 250 matches both domestically and in the Champions League.

Despite proving himself to be a solid piece in the squad for the best part of the last half-decade, PSG's owners are reportedly growing tired of his string of injuries which seem to be limiting the Argentine's playing potential.

PSG is next in action away to Nantes in Ligue 1 on Saturday, where it will be looking to draw level on points with Monaco and Nice at the top of the league.
