Hart praises Manchester City teammates after 'crazy game' in Paris

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has hailed his colleagues' spirit in taking a 2-2 draw from a "crazy game" at Paris Saint-Germain's Parc des Princes.

Hart, who skippered the away side on Wednesday, denied Zlatan Ibrahimovic from the penalty spot early on and again proved a vital presence between the sticks for City.

"Zlatan is not bad is he?" the England No. 1 joked post-match. "I haven't seen (the decision) again but the penalty felt very soft."

A strong start from City was rewarded on 38 minutes when Kevin De Bruyne fired it into the lead, but that good work was undone a mere three minutes later. Fernando received a short pass from Hart, but failed to respond to instructions to move out wide, and instead turned right into the path of the Swedish striker.

"It was a terrible first goal to concede, I gave Fernando the ball and he thought there was an option to pass it, (but) the big man put his size 15s through it and the ball went in."

Fernandinho took advantage of some confusion and clumsiness at the back by Thiago Silva and Serge Aurier to grab City a 72nd-minute equaliser, cancelling out Ibrahimovic's fortune and Adrien Rabiot's tap-in, and earning a deserved share of the spoils in the French capital.

"It was a crazy game that we were fully involved in," Hart continued. "It was a good game of football and we will wait and see how good a result that is. Two away goals is great, hopefully we make them count. Both teams will always have chances at this stage of the cup."

City has the opportunity to finish off the job in next week's second leg at the Etihad Stadium, and Hart is desperate to continue the side's unprecedented run in the competition.

"We are making history for this club and we don't want it to end. I am proud of the back four tonight."
