Yaya Toure set to leave City in June, says agent

Yaya Toure will leave Manchester City this summer after the club failed to offer the Ivorian an extension, according to the player's agent.

The Premier League side apparently missed the deadline to extend Toure's current deal, and agent Dimitri Seluk says the midfielder is left feeling disappointed.

"We have waited too long," Seluk said, according to Sky Sports. "Manchester City promised a deal but nothing has materialised so Yaya will leave in June.

"Yaya is disappointed of course. But he is a professional and he remains under contract so he will continue to do his best for City."

Toure's contract doesn't expire until the summer of 2017, but the impending arrival of Pep Guardiola as manager is another reason the 32-year-old will depart the club. The two have reportedly shared a rocky relationship since their days at Barcelona when Guardiola decided to sell him to City in 2010.

Toure won't have a problem finding a new home, as Seluk suggests there are multiple offers on the table. Adding to the interest is that weekly wages are not a concern for his client.

"Various offers have arrived for Yaya and we're evaluating them, but no decision has been taken yet for next season," Seluk said.

"Will the economic aspect make the difference? Absolutely not. We don't put money before everything, but the project the club presents us. The best will convince us."

One possible destination Seluk mentioned would see Toure link up with his former manager Roberto Mancini in Italy with Inter Milan.

"Inter? We're definitely talking about a great club and everyone knows about the relationship between Yaya and Mancini, but like I've already said, we haven't made any decision yet," he added.

"But I'll add that the Nerazzurri's project is great and Inter is a fantastic club. So it's normal that they want a player of this level."
