Analysis:

After the Italian's impressive display against Liverpool in their previous game, fans and analysts alike were optimistic for a clean sheet against Aston Villa and they probably would have been right had it not been for a wonder strike by Carlos Gil. Hard to predict if this is a turning point for Sunderland or just a win against a poor Villa side but Mannone will need to start to either make more saves per game or keep some clean sheets to qualify him as any sort of viable Fantasy option.
