Pedro dispels rumours of Chelsea discontent

Amid the drama and heartache at Chelsea Football Club, former Barcelona winger Pedro has had a rough go at adapting to life both in the Premier League and under Jose Mourinho.

Pedro left the Blaugrana and joined the Premier League champions at Stamford Bridge, but soon found himself on a sinking ship, experiencing the kind of poor form he had never seen at the Camp Nou. His performance led to rumours of a potential departure, but Pedro says he's looking to stick around.

"I’m happy here. This information that I’m not is false," Pedro told the Evening Standard. "I am very satisfied to be here in this club. I am happy with the supporters and this team. Obviously the situation is not good but together it is possible for us to climb the table."

When Mourinho's days looked numbered, Pedro was dropped from the starting lineup, but now the Portuguese tactician has departed, and Pedro is looking for a fresh start with the Blues under Guus Hiddink.

"Guus Hiddink is a very good coach and I am sure the club are confident about him," Pedro said. "He spoke with me after the Sunderland game for a minute in Spanish and I had a good feeling. For me it was perfect. He was telling me (he) is happy here and with the team."
