The English Football Association has requested input from the two clubs concerning a clash between Leicester City attacker Riyad Mahrez and Swansea City centre-back Ashley Williams during Saturday's Premier League match at the Liberty Stadium.

The Swans skipper and the Foxes' hat-trick hero had to be separated outside Swansea's locker room following table-topping Leicester's 3-0 victory, with reports suggesting Williams made an effort to pursue the Algerian international onto the team bus.

Despite no mention of the incident in the referee's post-match report, the FA can take retrospective action, according to Sky Sports. The conflict appears to stem from an episode during the match where the two bumped heads before being separated by referee Michael Oliver.

The FA will now turn to both clubs for insight into the clash before ruling on the circumstance with the possibility of punishment for the two players.
