Aguero, Hart could return Saturday vs. Stoke City

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero and goalkeeper Joe Hart could be available for Saturday's match against Stoke City, manager Manuel Pellegrini said Tuesday.

Aguero took a blow to the heel and left last weekend's 3-1 win over Southampton in the 64th minute. Pellegrini immediately ruled out a more serious injury, and said he took off Aguero as a precaution.

Hart, meanwhile, is recovering from a hamstring injury he sustained in last week's Champions League defeat at Juventus. The 28-year-old England 'keeper didn't play against Southampton.

"Hart could be fit for Saturday, if not Tuesday (against Borussia Monchengladbach), while Aguero has pain in his heel but he is improving," Pellegrini said. "We will see tomorrow if he can play on Saturday."

City moved into the last four of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday evening without either player, beating Hull City 4-1 at the Etihad. David Silva, back after an ankle problem, captained the side in his first start for the club since Oct. 3.

"It was very important for David," Pellegrini said. "The most important thing was to qualify for the semifinal, but it was also important for him to have 80 minutes after a long injury."
