Tottenham's new favourite Son strikes to see off Crystal Palace
A solitary strike from Son Heung-min - his first in the Premier League - was enough to secure the three points for Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Son took his goal well, stealing half a yard off Crystal Palace defender Brede Hangeland with a dip of the shoulder before squeezing a shot underneath Alex McCarthy.
It follows a fine performance Thursday from the South Korean, where his two goals helped his new club to a 3-1 win over FK Qarabag. The £22-million signing from Bayer Leverkusen is quickly establishing himself as a fan favourite.

Crystal Palace came into the match after a gutting last-minute home loss to Manchester City the previous week, and Alan Pardew fielded the dangerous quartet of Bakary Sako, Yannick Bolasie, Jason Puncheon, and Wilfried Zaha in a bid to breach a stingy Spurs defense.
But except for a Yohan Cabaye shot, which rebounded off the post toward the end of the first half, the visitors never really threatened to seriously trouble Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
One concern for Spurs, however, is Harry Kane. His efforts look laboured and his confidence shattered in a Spurs shirt. He has not yet scored a goal for his club this season - that's two goals in his last 14 Premier League games, while he scored 17 in the 15 matches prior to that.
The attending national team boss Roy Hodgson will have been most impressed with Dele Alli out of the 12 Englishmen on show. The teenage midfielder signed from Milton Keynes Dons earlier this year, and has adapted to Premier League football with ease after two seasons of regular League One action. Despite not necessarily being played in his best position on the day, he shone at White Hart Lane and was a constant thorn in Palace's side.
The day belonged to White Hart Lane's new favourite Son though, with his pace and confidence winning the adulation of the Spurs' support. Christian Eriksen came off the bench and laid on the goal for his colleague, and the duo could forge a menacing partnership over this campaign.
