Report: Valdes deal off as Man. United 'keeper, Besiktas can't agree to terms
Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes will have to find another way out of his Old Trafford nightmare, as he has been unable to agree a contract with Besiktas, according to BBC's Simon Stone.
A fee was reportedly agreed upon for the Spaniard on Wednesday, but the Turkish club failed to bring in the former Barcelona man after subsequently trying to change the terms of the deal.
Valdes has been excluded from manager Louis van Gaal's plans, after Van Gaal claimed that Valdes "doesn't follow my philosophy" during the club's summer tour in the U.S.
Valdes responded by revealing that his disillusionment at United was due to his lengthy stints in the club's Under-21 side, sending out this cryptic tweet in July:
Meanwhile, United still hopes to keep hold of Valdes' fellow goalkeeper and compatriot David De Gea beyond the transfer window. Van Gaal has yet to field the shot-stopper so far this campaign because De Gea is distracted amid interest from Real Madrid.
