Conor Daly: Races into Daytona 500 Field

Daly finished 17th in the Bluegreen Vacations Duel 2 at Daytona International Speedway Thursday night.

Analysis:

Daly would have problems with the ride height and excessive bumpy handling in the opening laps. He would fall a lap down after some adjustments but would seem to run much better. The big factor in this second qualifying race is that Daly would avoid the wreck at the front on lap 40 that would roll up a couple cars. Austin Hill would get caught in that carnage, and that would help Daly to race his way into the Daytona 500.
