West Bromwich Albion might be on the verge of obtaining one of the biggest injury risks on the transfer market after being linked with a move for Abou Diaby.

The Midlands club are in talks with the oft-injured midfielder over a free transfer that would see him continue his career in the Premier League, according to Bill Howell of The Birmingham Mail.

The possible move to West Brom should boost Biaby's confidence after Arsenal decided not to offer him a new contract at the conclusion of last season following a rash of injuries that plagued him throughout his career at the Emirates Stadium.

After only appearing in two first team matches during his final two years in north London, Howell reports that West Brom are confident they have the medical staff and facilities to restore Diaby back into the midfielder that once had a wealth of talent.
