Jennifer Jo Cobb: Set for Cup debut at Talladega

Cobb will make her NACAR Cup debut at the Talladega race next weekend, Kelly Crandall of Racer.com reports.

Analysis:

Cobb will pilot the No. 15 car for Rick Ware Racing in her first-ever attempt at NASCAR's top level. She becomes the first female to compete in the Cup Series since Danica Patrick in 2018 and will be sponsored by Arrowhead Brass for the race. She has primarily raced on the Camping World Truck level, where she has notched one Top-10 finish in 216 starts. It would likely take some luck for her to post a good finish in her debut, but she could find herself in a good spot if she can avoid the big wrecks that typically plague the restrictor-plate tracks.
