Stoke City want Asmir Begovic between the posts at Britannia Stadium beyond next season.
Speaking ahead of his side's Premier League fixture at West Ham, manager Mark Hughes insisted Stoke will look to offer Begovic - whose current deal expires next year - a new contract once the season is over.
"We've made it clear we want him to sign," Hughes said, according to BBC Sport. "We will discuss it in the summer. That's always been the plan."
Begovic joined Stoke in 2010 and has started all 31 of Stoke's Premier League matches this season, keeping seven clean sheets in the process.
