Chelsea are really embracing Japanese culture these days.

Jose Mourinho's side are planning a postseason tour of Japan should they win the Premier League - a move likely related to the club's new partnership with Yokohama Rubber - and now Chelsea have made a £4-million bid for Tokyo FC forward Yoshinori Muto, the Guardian's David Hytner reported Thursday.

"It is true that Chelsea sent us an offer for Muto," Tokyo president Naoki Ogane told Sports Nippon. "It is a formal offer with conditions. They want to acquire him in the summer."

However, Muto, who recently graduated from Keio University with an economics degree, is undecided regarding his future and has been quoted in Japan as saying: "I have not decided yet at all. It is an honour for me to receive this offer from a great club."

Should Chelsea acquire the 22-year-old prodigy, they'll reportedly loan him out to Dutch outfit Vitesse Arnhem, where Josh McEachran, Bertrand Traore, and Wallace are currently on loan from Stamford Bridge.

Muto notched 13 goals in the J-League last season, his first as a professional.
