Kyle Busch: Eliminated from Chase Playoffs

Busch finished 30th in the Bank of America Roval 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

Busch came to Charlotte in nearly a must-win scenario. He pressed hard and led 3 total laps for the day. In the late laps of the race it looked like Busch might pull off that big victory. However, the No. 18 Toyota had to take an unscheduled pit stop for a failing tire. The lost time on pit road would set him deep back into the field. Busch would finish at distant 30th and near the end of the lead lap drivers. The poor performance dropped him outside the Top 8 in points and eliminated Busch from advancing in the playoffs.
