Radamel Falcao: 'I need to find a place where I have continuity'

A season to forget will soon be over for Radamel Falcao, and his future at Manchester United remains clouded by uncertainty.

The Colombian forward has only featured in Louis van Gaal's starting XI on 12 occasions this Premier League season and finds himself on the fringes of United's squad rotation. He was also sent to play for the club's under-21 side, a move that showed just how far he's fallen since arriving at Old Trafford as part of a £6-million loan deal from AS Monaco.

United have the option to turn Falcao's loan deal into a permanent move at the end of the season, but his lack of playing time suggests that his days at the club are numbered. And while preparing to feature for Colombia's national team on Tuesday, he addressed the issue and spoke of his need for regular football.

"Obviously I need to find a place where I have continuity and can play," Falcao told Radio Caracol, according to the Guardian. "I think any footballer needs to play and is happy playing. I'm totally committed to the club, there are eight matches to go (in the Premier League) and anything can happen."

Falcao added: "So when the championship ends, I'll sit down, do an analysis and decide what's best for me."

Colombia are in the midst of a tour of Asia, during which they'll play a friendly against Bahrain on Thursday followed by a second friendly versus Kuwait on Monday.
