Martin Truex Jr.: Third at Magic Mile

Truex Jr. finished third in the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

The No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota team continued their hot streak with another good performance at Loudon Sunday. Truex started 11th on the grid and he would race his way up to second-place by the end of stage 1. He was a Top 5 driver for most of the 301-lap race at the Magic Mile. The final caution would set up a long green-flag run to the finish, and Truex would strengthen his grip on a Top-5 spot. By the checkered flag the No. 19 Toyota would cruise across the finish line third for the day. It was his fifth Top 5 of the season, and third Top 5 in the last four races.
