Leighton Baines: Effective in return vs Magpies

Baines was effective Sunday, making five crosses, three key passes, six tackles, and eight clearances in the 3-0 win over Newcastle.

Analysis:

Baines played more defensively today then usual and his fantasy owners were rewarded with his first clean sheet in nearly two months. Although he didn't have an assist or goal today, the performance after returning from his quad injury is very promising and he'll feature in the starting XI going forward barring any setbacks. Look for Baines to attack more next Sunday against one of the worst defenses in the league in QPR.
