Radamel Falcao's time in Manchester United's famous red kit appears to be on the verge of concluding in the summer.

The Colombian striker looks set for a return to France, as United reportedly told AS Monaco they have no intention of making Falcao's season-long loan deal permanent following his bitterly disappointing tenure with the club, according to French publication Le Figaro.

It seems like an easy decision, considering United would have to pay £43 million to keep Falcao at Old Trafford - a steep price considering the lack of production from the striker thus far.

However, the club have denied the report, according to ESPNFC, and are prepared to give the Colombian a chance to prove himself during the remaining games of the season while Robin Van Persie recovers from an injury.

Falcao has only managed to score four goals in 20 appearances since making the move to England in the summer.
