Phil Jagielka: 18 clearances vs Chelsea

Jagielka was Everton's best player Wednesday as he made two tackles and an incredible 18 clearances in the 1-0 loss to Chelsea.

Analysis:

Without Jagielka, Everton would have probably lost by multiple goals and he nearly carried his team to a big clean sheet, but the team was undone late after a red card by Gareth Barry. Jagielka has been great defensively and he also has the goal of the year for Everton in the Mercyside Derby early in the season. He'll continue to start and be a reliable defensive player, but not as effective as a fantasy option as he doesn't contribute in typical fantasy categories. Everton and Jagielka host Leicester in their next match on the 22nd.
