David De Gea will stay at Manchester United, says agent

Reuters

Rumors continue to swirl linking Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea with a move to Real Madrid, but the Spaniard's agent believes the shot-stopper will remain at Old Trafford - for the time being.

"He has one year left on his contract and I think that he will stay in Manchester," Jorge Mendes said in an interview with the BBC.

"The player will decide, but he's happy there, at the moment."

That last bit will have many United supporters sweating, as Mendes did not elaborate on the probability of the 24-year-old signing a new contract with the Premier League club.
