Kyle Busch: Runner-up Finish at Sonoma

Busch finished second in the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

The driver of the No. 18 Toyota turned in his usual strong start at Sonoma Raceway. Busch started seventh on the grid and raced inside the Top 10 most of the afternoon. Busch's machine would sustain front-end damage when racing hard with Chase Elliott, but his Toyota Camry just seemed to keep getting stronger as the race wore on. The closing laps would see Busch cut Martin Truex's lead to just 1.5-seconds, but that's as close as Busch would get to the leader. He would have to settle for the runner-up finish, and his 10th Top 5 of the season.
