Brennan Poole: Runner-up Finish at Charlotte

Poole finished second in the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 Gander Outdoors Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway Friday night.

Analysis:

Poole had undoubtedly his best performance of the season Friday night at the Charlotte oval. He started 17th on the grid and gradually worked his way forward all night. The team made the truck better with each stop. Poole would battle a broken sway bar most of the race, and that didn't help things. He still pushed the leaders in the closing laps, and finished just 1.115 seconds behind Kyle Busch for second-place. It was Poole's first Top 5 of the season, and he climbs into 13th-place in the driver point standings as a result.
