Brett Moffitt: Wins Truck Series Championship

By virtue of winning the Ford EcoBoost 200 Camping World Truck Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway Friday evening, Moffitt was declared the 2018 NASCAR Truck Series champion.

Analysis:

Moffitt turned in a dominant performance to cap a storybook season in the truck series. The driver of the No. 16 Toyota led the final 29 laps after making a tough pass on leader Noah Gragson, and Moffitt would cruise to his sixth victory of the season. The win in the season finale gives Moffitt the 2018 Camping World Truck Series championship, and makes owner Shigeaki Hattori the first Japanese owner to claim a NASCAR national touring series title.
