Darren Bent joins Derby on season-long loan from Aston Villa
In another reminder that Darren Bent is still alive and still playing football, Aston Villa announced on Friday that the 30-year-old striker will be linking up with manager Steve McLaren at Derby County.

Bent, who spent December on loan at Brighton and notched two goals for the Championship club, has made only eight appearances for Villa this campaign, seven of which were as a substitute.
His move to Derby comes over seven years after McLaren handed Bent his first cap with England's national team following an injury to Michael Owen.
Perhaps the connection can help Bent find the form that made him so ruthless between 2009 and 2011.
