Erik Jones: Breaks Top-10 Drought at Kansas
Jones snapped a four-race Top-10 drought with his seventh-place finish in the KC Masterpiece 400 at Kansas Speedway Saturday night.
Analysis:
The No. 20 JGR team had fallen into a rut much of April, but Jones rebounded solidly at Kansas Speedway Saturday night. He started 12th on the grid and spent much of the race running in the back end of the Top 10. Jones' No. 20 Toyota was strong, but lacked the ability to challenge for the lead. After 400-miles Jones collected his fifth Top-10 finish of the season. He holds steady at 13th-place in the driver point standings.
