Report: Liverpool, Daniel Sturridge working on new long-term deal
Daniel Sturridge is on the verge of agreeing to a new long-term deal that will keep the English striker at Liverpool until 2019, according to ESPN.
Sources tell ESPN that terms of the deal have been agreed to and Sturridge is set to make £150,000 ($242,285), including bonuses, a week.
Sturridge might not be the only member of the Liverpool squad to be offered a new deal as Steven Gerrard, Raheem Sterling and Jordan Henderson are reportedly set to negotiate new contracts with the club in the coming months.
Following a season where he played second fiddle to Luis Suarez, Sturridge looked set to be the team's primary scoring threat heading into the new campaign before a thigh strain sidelined him.
He's been out for the better part of a month, but manager Brendan Rodgers hinted at his return for Liverpool's weekend match against West Brom.
