Report: Phil Jones to play Manchester United's next match against Everton
Phil Jones' return to the Manchester United squad will come earlier than expected as the defender looks set to feature in the club's next Premier League match against Everton.
Jones has reportedly recovered from the hamstring injury that's hampered him over the past couple of weeks and was involved in first-team training in preparation for Sunday's match, according to the Telegraph.
He suffered the injury during England's European qualifier against Switzerland, and will make his return a week ahead of schedule.
His introduction into the squad couldn't come at a better time as United have been dealing with an injury crisis on the back-line, forcing them to include a pair of members from the team's youth academy in last weekend's team sheet against West Ham.
Injuries to Johnny Evans and Chris Smalling, plus Tyler Blackett's suspension, left Louis Van Gaal with few options on defence as Paddy McNair made his United debut in the match at the age of 19.
