Sandro: Injures Knee in Celebration Practice
Sandro did not play last Saturday against Stoke City after injured his knee during training, Sky Sports reports. "It was a stupid injury," manager Harry Redknapp said. "He scored a goal in training and slid on his knee like a lot of players do. I don't know why the players do it. The pitch was bone dry so he skidded. His knee has gone bang into the turf and I watched him trying to get up wondering 'what's he done here?' Sure enough, he wasn't fit for Saturday."
Analysis:
Sandro has scored only three times in 81 Premier League matches, so it's understandable that he would mess up a goal celebration. Given his role as a defensive midfielder, his fantasy value remains limited.
