Things are looking up for former Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas.

As his former club continues to make headlines for all of the wrong reasons, the 36-year-old has a new job.

Villas-Boas is the new head coach of Zenit St Petersburg. The Russian club fired Luciano Spalletti one week before the second leg of their round of 16 clash with Borussia Dortmund.

"Zenit has agreed terms on a contract with new head coach Andre Villas-Boas," a statement said on the Zenit's website, via The Telegraph

"Mr. Villas-Boas will be presented in St Petersburg as Zenit's new head coach on 20 March."

Villas-Boas' contract is believed to be a two-year deal, according to the Daily Mail.

Villas-Boas has served as manager for Porto, Chelsea, and Tottenham in recent years.
