Bacary Sagna picked up an undisclosed injury when appearing as a substitute for Manchester City on Sunday, leaving Christophe Jallet to take his place in the France setup.
The 33-year-old Lyon right-back has won 11 caps for his country, the last of which came in a 3-2 friendly win over the Netherlands in March 2016.
Jallet, a product of the Niort youth system, has made eight Ligue 1 appearances this term, fashioning a goal and two assists. He has also put in some commendable performances over Lyon's Europa League run.
Didier Deschamp's France travels to Luxembourg for a World Cup qualifier on Saturday, before facing a marquee friendly with Spain at the Stade de France three days later.
