Jesus' apparent foot injury opens up opportunity for Aguero
Manchester City's new favourite son Gabriel Jesus was forced off 15 minutes into Monday's match at Bournemouth due to a suspected foot injury, giving Sergio Aguero the opportunity to stake a claim for a starting berth off the bench.
It's the Argentinian's third straight appearance as a substitute after the Brazilian teenager made a sensational impact since his January arrival from Palmeiras, fashioning three goals and an assist in his previous three competitive starts.
Aguero's benching had led to speculation that he could be sold - which was confirmed as a possibility by manager Pep Guardiola in the lead-up to Monday's tilt - with various other squad members in an anticipated summer clear out by the Spanish gaffer.

Raheem Sterling opened the scoring 14 minutes later for City at Dean Court, latching onto a deflected cross played by the in-form Leroy Sane.
