Agent: Cech won't leave Arsenal this summer

Petr Cech's agent is confident his client will remain at Arsenal beyond this season amid speculation that the goalkeeper's future is in doubt.

Suggestions that Cech could be entering his final months in an Arsenal shirt began to swirl after the 34-year-old's recent struggles, including a costly blunder last weekend in which his mis-kick led to Chelsea's third goal in a 3-0 loss at Stamford Bridge.

Manager Arsene Wenger moved to quell any doubt over Cech's future by denying reports linking Arsenal with a move for on-loan Manchester City 'keeper Joe Hart and insisting Cech has a future well beyond this season.

Cech's agent, Viktor Kolar, also reaffirmed that his client will at least see out the remainder of his contract, which expires in 2019.

"Petr's position at the club is very secure and a summer transfer can be ruled out," Kolar said in a statement to reporters, as translated by James Benge of the Evening Standard.

"Petr will be part of Arsenal until at least the end of his current contract and I am convinced that he will continue to have a leadership role in the team."

The Czech international arrived at the Emirates Stadium from Chelsea in 2015. He's started all but six matches for Arsenal this season, but has had trouble keeping the ball out of the back of his net of late - he allowed six goals in the three matches before Saturday's tie with Hull City.
