Watch: 91st-minute goal sends non-league Lincoln to FA Cup 4th round

A non-league club whose glory days came in the 1970s is heading to the FA Cup's fourth round.

On Tuesday, under the lights of a sold-out Sincil Bank and aired on BBC One, Lincoln City's unlikely run in the FA Cup lived to see another day, as the Imps defeated Ipswich Town 1-0 courtesy of a 91st-minute goal from Nathan Arnold. The tie appeared to be heading to extra time when the 29-year-old collected a through ball, danced around Dean Gerken, and converted, producing massive celebrations involving smoke bombs.

According to BBC Sport, Lincoln earned £67,500 in prize money for the victory, and the Imps will host another Championship club in Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup's fourth round, looking to cause another shock.

"It is incredible," Arnold said after the final whistle. "I think we fully deserved that over the two legs and I was pleased to get the goal. My Mrs. had a dream we won 1-0 and I scored the goal. My experience allowed me to keep a cool head for the goal. Before the game, we backed ourselves.

"They made five changes which is not good for team continuity and we wanted to take advantage of that. I am proud of the boys."

The last time Lincoln reached the FA Cup's fourth round was when Graham Taylor, who passed away five days ago, was the Imps' manager. It was his first job in management.

If only Taylor could have witnessed the scenes at Sincil Bank ...
