Adam Lallana's bright start to the season is in danger of being disrupted after the Liverpool midfielder was forced out of Saturday's contest against Swansea City with an apparent groin injury.
The England international sustained the knock following a heavy collision 20 minutes into the match at the Liberty Stadium.
He received medical treatment before Jurgen Klopp elected to remove him in favour of forward Daniel Sturridge
Liverpool, who conceded early after Leroy Fer's tap-in gave the hosts a 1-0 lead, has yet to reveal the exact nature of the injury.
The injury comes at an unfortunate time for the 28-year-old as he faces the possibility of missing out on being called up Sunday for England's upcoming World Cup qualifiers later this month.
